Stephanie - Recruit of the month
I had been thinking for a while that I needed to make a change in both my diet and my exercise level. Then I saw the pictures of me in Florida over the March Break and got the invitation to a friend’s wedding in June and decided now was the time to make a change.

I signed up for Angela’s Oakville outdoor bootcamp in April and have been a regular attendee ever since. With the help of a more nutritious diet, combined with regular exercise I have been able to lose 30 pounds and trim 20 inches from all over my body.
Angela’s program changes with every class but the best part is that every one is challenging and fun (in a strange, masochistic kind of way).
I very much enjoy Angela’s all around approach to health and fitness and have benefited from her knowledge in nutrition and the best foods to match with a work out as well as direction in the area of longer distance running.
I highly recommend the Bootcamp Ontario program and specifically Angela’s classes to anyone who will listen! Thanks Angela, you have made a big difference in my life, helping me to feel better and look great! |

I have been doing bootcamp since July 2009 and thought after the first couple classes that there is no way that I can possibly go back it was challenging, exhausting, and made me realize how out of shape I really was.
However, I stuck it out and within the first month I was dropping inches, my body was toning up, my endurance was stronger. Now that I am in my second year of the program I still find myself being challenged and leave every time feeling confident that I just completed another class!
Daria is an awesome instructor who challenges us and makes every class different and couldn’t have done it without her and the extra push that she gives to us to get the results we want! It is a very satisfying feeling to do this class and I would recommend it to anyone! |
Teda - Recruit of the month
In a 3yr period, gaining 60 lbs and my 40th birthday was fast approaching, joining Boot Camp Ontario was the best thing that I've done for myself since moving to the Tri City area.

I joined in August of 2009 and have continued with the program since then.
I started the program with realistic expectations as all I wanted to do is get back on a healthy journey and be outdoors.
I have been able to lose 15lbs and several inches while participating with Boot Camp Ontario.
Daria our instructor makes each and every class challenging, interesting and pushes us to do our best.
I still have a long ways to go but it feels good to have a little of the "old me" back again.
After each session different muscle groups hurt, Boot Camp Ontario is well worth the investment and the 1hr commitment, twice a week. |
Ivana - Recruit of the month
With turning 40 just around the corner, and discovering that colon cancer was a new member to our family, I decided that enough was enough. I needed to lose weight. With a new diet, just cutting out the fat and junk, I was able to lose 40 pounds! My doctor told me that it was the best gift that I could give myself.

Now that I had lost this weight, I needed to lose the flab.
This is where Angela and Basic Training Fitness stepped in. I began this program in April of 2009 and within just two months I lost another 10 pounds and began to feel so much firmer.
Everyone noticed the change, and my clothes fit much better.
Today I am less tired, look great, and thoroughly enjoy the time I spend with Angela and the rest of the class. Angela makes each class interesting, and I can honestly say that no two classes are ever the same.
I’m still in pain after every class, a pain that I love!! Means that Angela is still finding muscles in us we didn’t know we had! |

Mark trained with one of our personal trainers to accomplish his weight loss, and build muscle.
He also followed a healthy diet.

Basic Training Fitness offers a variety of boot camps to assist our clients in achieving their health and fitness goals.
It is our belief that fitness and nutrition go hand in hand, however, everyone begins with different goals in mind and with varying fitness levels.
Some people need more coaching and support, while others prefer independence after receiving some initial wellness counselling. |
Christine - Recruit of the Month
I was always a thin girl growing up and then gained some weight due to a hectic work schedule and laziness. I would look through magazines and wish I had the bodies that some of these women have. It was difficult to accept that I had let myself go so quickly and I didn’t know how I was going to get back in shape again.

In November I decided to join boot camp after I booked a February trip to Panama. I was expecting to lose a few pounds and inches. Originally, I was going to attend three months of boot camp and continue working out at home. As time passed, that idea changed as I began to love the drills, social atmosphere and routine. The first day of boot camp was amazing. We did squats, lunges, worked out on our arms and core. We also did running drills.
I couldn't believe how quickly the hour passed. We had a great full body work out and I gave it my all. As each class passed I could feel myself getting stronger. The program was always interesting comprised of a variety of drills. My boot camp instructor Angela is amazing! She keeps the work outs interesting and challenging. Since December I have lost 16 pounds and 10 inches around my mid section. I highly recommend boot camp to anyone who wants to improve their health and well being. |
